The assistant is tool-calling over the Claude API: it creates, edits, deletes and bulk-reschedules tasks, and asks for clarification rather than guessing. A whole sentence is recorded as a single undo no matter how many things it changed, and token cost is metered per model. Access is enforced on the server rather than in the interface — the admin area returns a 404 to anyone without the role instead of just hiding the button. Sessions are database rows, so removing someone signs them out on their next request instead of whenever a token would have expired.
